Saved by the latte

So we got ourselves together, and I got the juice cups filled and threw my bribe tool (ie. fruit gummy snacks) into the diaper bag, and into the car we went.  On the way, I was serenaded by the sounds of ranting about who pushed in the cup holder on the car seat, batteries in the Leapster being dead, and why we can't watch a movie for the 3 minute ride to the playground.

But I was determined to grab hold of some sunshine, and we were gonna enjoy it!  We got to the playground, which was a ghost town other than the two county workers, who were sent to fix equipment at a time when nobody in their right mind would be there.  I never said I was in my right mind, though.

This was our first sight upon arriving:

The snow is mostly melted around here for now, but I guess someone forgot to tell the sun that the playground's snow and ice needs to be melted too.

After an, "I'm cold!" from this one:

And this one falling on the ice and scraping his hand:

Then this one falling on the ice and scraping her hand:

And it getting colder by the second:

I admitted defeat and retreated here.............................

............................................to use a gift card that I got for Valentine's Day.  Since anyone who hearts me knows that I heart Panera Bread.

After one of these:

and these:

We were back in the game again.

These little kiddies played an imaginitive game of "Bad Kitty" as I sipped my hot latte.

Those are bad kitties scratching eachother.  Bad kitty!  Don't ask, because I have no idea.

Of course this one:

was the world's most perfect baby, putting all other babies to shame.  Especially the baby behind us who cried the whole time we were there.  Not everyone can be perfect, I guess ; )
