Seriously?

I thought my kids were playing nicely together, only to find out that they were just quietly concealing their naughtiness.  Once I realized what they were doing, I told them not to do it anymore, and I sent them on their way.  Well, as soon as I walked away, I could hear Austin in the other room continuing right where he left off.  After his consequences, I went to talk to him about what he had done.  As I waxed eloquently about obedience and appropriate behavior, Austin chimed in and said, "Yeah, but can I have oatmeal?"

All I can say is, Seriously?  What?  Sometimes I wonder............................
