It's 12:22 am, so I can finally say that we are going to Texas today. WooHoo!
We're flying out later today to San Antonio, Texas for the National Down Syndrome Convention Conference. We're leaving the other kids at home with my mom and just taking Kamdyn. I've never been away from them for this long, so that part makes me a little anxious. But this is a great opportunity for us, and it will be an amazing experience. I'm sure of that.
So later today, we'll do some of this:
She gives the best smooches. The only problem is that you don't know if she's going to give you a wet kiss or a head butt until it's too late : ) I'm sure it will be all smooches later, though.
Then, we're off.
Texas or bust, whatever that means.

Ohhh! You'll have SO MUCH FUN! I ditched the hubby last year and just took Piper by myself- We would have talked about going back this year, but having a two-month-old, it just didn't seem like it'd be that much fun, lol... It's such an awesome experience!
ReplyDeletewoo-hoo! I'm jealous, but have a fantastic time. Can't wait to hear all about it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great blog! I am an author and the proud father of a 38-year-old daughter with Down syndrome. I have written a novel in ebook form, A SPY AT HOME, which is available on Amazon. In this book I have a central character, Noah, who has Down. I invite you to read this ebook, and I would be very interested in your thoughts about the story. I can be reached directly at rinald47@gmail.com.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your blog and for sharing your child with Down syndrome.
