I got this puzzle at AC Moore on Black Friday. 50% off! I'm actually saving it for her birthday, because she's not quite ready for it yet. It will be good for working on fine motor skills, and they are also self-help skills. Double score.

I got this Little People barn at the Goodwill for......wait for it...... 97 cents. It didn't have any of the people or animals, so I got the boxed set on Black Friday, 50% off again.

I always thought these were the most useless toys, until one of Kamdyn's therapists broke one out, and she LOVED it. She can learn animal sounds, work on the gross motor it takes to pull the lever, and cause and affect skills. Triple score.

Found this at Ollie's. Pulling the tabs will challenge her fine motor skills, and we can work on colors.

This is another Ollie's find. Pop beads are good fine motor, and once again, the colors.

Need I say anymore than Melissa and Doug puzzle. Love them. Oh, and $6. Not bad.

This gum ball machine was a splurge item, but incorporates so many skills, I couldn't resist. She has to put the balls in the top, then pull the button on the side down to get them to fall. She's getting in a couple of different fine motor skills, as well as some more cause and affect. I ended up giving this to her early, because I wanted her to be able to play with it right away.

Not a toy, but I love these pajamas. We're wearing these out this week.

O I love Melissa and Doug! and... I am impressed with the new toys that Crayola is coming out with in the past couple years... Evan is getting Crayola Jumbles!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Great toys!! Russell has the gumball machine and it has been his all time favorite toy since he was about 9 months old! It was the first toy I remember him learning cause and affect with...He loves pulling the lever to get the balls out. He still plays with it now at two :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the ideas. I think Ben needs the gum ball machine for his birthday in a couple of weeks!
