5 Reasons I know that Kamdyn does not like doctors

Kamdyn had a cardiologist appointment the other day. It was interesting to say the least.

5 reasons that I know the doctor is Kamdyn's least favorite person:

1. As soon as the doctor walks into the room, she starts crying.

2. When the doctor approaches her, the crying turns to screaming and flailing.

3. The doctors always think that if they approach real quiet, and listen to her chest from the back, she might not mind. Wrong again, doc! As soon as they touch her, the screaming continues.

4. During her echo the other day, we gave Kamdyn a lollipop, thinking she might stop fighting. She took the lollipop out of her mouth and threw it across the room.

5. Then I put a puff in her mouth, and she spit it out and threw it.


They did manage to get what they needed for the echo cardiogram, but they skipped the EKG, since she was clearly not going to cooperate. She was ripping those little stickers off quicker than they could put them on.

The cardiologist reported that Kamdyn no longer has any enlargement in her heart, no fluid around her heart, and the pressures are normal! And if that isn't enough, Kamdyn's VSD is now 3mm, making it too small to EVER NEED SURGERY. The ASD was never a big concern so that is fine too. The only concern now is that the VSD will suck in (for lack of a better medical term) the aortic valve, which is right next to it. This would cause valve leakage and possible surgery. But we're talking "what ifs" now. Bottom line is NO SURGERY, EVER.
