..........................my belly was round and swollen. I had just left my full-time, fourth grade teaching job at our church's school. 4th grade is an awesome grade to teach, by the way. I was uncomfortable and huge. I went against the original plan and stopped teaching, because I could barely walk up and down the steps to my basement classroom without hyperventalating. I liked starting our day in the classroom each morning by singing Bible songs with the kids, and I was reduced to asking for a student song leader, becasue I couldn't sing without going out of breath. I knew this baby, not knowing boy or girl, was going to come early. Did I think that I was only days away at this point? Not really. But I figured that things were probably starting to progress, and I most likely had a couple of weeks left.
I had no idea how my world was about to be changed in only a few short days. These were the last pictures I took before Kamdyn was born:
Madison was 3, and Austin was 2.
They're such cute kids! So you had a 3yr old and a 2yr old and a newborn, man you must have been busy that first year!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, is today Kamdyn's birthday? Happy birthday sweet girl!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJenny- when we decided to have another baby we figured it would take a few months at least. But I'm fertile Myrtle, I guess. And yes, we were pretty busy.
ReplyDeleteLaura- Friday is Kamdyn's birthday, but I'm just feeling all sentimental and trip-down-memory-laneish.
Oh, your kids were so much littler and so freaking cute! Except I swear 2 and 3 look way older than I expect them to. Maybe that's because I am so used to looking at the little peanuts I love to read about.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah. There is a huge difference between Kamdyn and my others at her age. But Madison actually has a birthday 8 days after Kamdyn, so Madison was just about to turn 4. Austin was 2 1/2.
