Kamdyn and the iPad

First of all, the reason all of mine say lite is because I still only have the free versions.  We have some itunes money, but I just haven't gone on to buy the full version yet.  The full version of the first one on here is $29.99, so I won't be purchasing that one yet, but I really like the Lite version, so when Kamdyn grows out of it, I may get the full version.

Like I said, we have the free version, so we can only access the beginner levels, but it works for us right now. 

The one I really like is "Balloons" on the bottom row.

First, the little bubble dude tells you what color to get:

Then, the balloon or balloons, depending on what level you are playing will come over the hill.  To start out with, only one color balloon will come up, but as they play or increase levels, different color balloons come up, and they have to choose the right one.  

And after you tap the right balloon, the little bubble dude turns that color, and it says the color:

Kamdyn knows some of her colors, and it is mostly thanks to this app.

Sound Touch Lite app

The thing I love about this one is that when they tap on the cartoon picture (I don't like cartoon pictures, by the way), the screen changes to a full size real picture of that animal.  Each one has 3 or 4 (can't remember) different real pictures of that animal, and it makes the animal sound also.  It's a great way to teach the animals, their sounds, and the sign.


The Alphabet Song app

This one sings the alphabet song, and it also has games where they have to tap the letters. 

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star app

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star is similar to the ABC one above, but it has games with numbers, rather than letters.  And Kamdyn LOVES the song.

I also had someone ask where she colored this:

 This app is called Hello Color Pencil.  There is also Hello Crayon.

Now it's your turn.  If you have an app you love, I'd love to hear about it and check it out.  I'd like to find another good app for teaching colors, because Kamdyn gets bored with the same one all the time.  We have a lot of flashcard apps, but she is not really interested in those.  The girls still have itunes money from their birthday that are burning a hole in our pocket.  What should we get?
