Picnic Time

We packed our basket full of food and our table cloth and headed out to our shady little spot in the front yard.

Madison and Austin unwrapped their sandwhiches and opened crackers and peanuts like they were presents on Christmas morning.

When I popped open the soda, Madison laughed and said, "We get kid soda!" Since they hardly ever get soda, it was a treat for sure.

He was having a good time, for sure.

Kamdyn hasn't been getting out much lately, because we are worried about her being out in the heat with her heart condition. So it was a chance for her to get out for some fresh air. I just can't wait to get past this whole thing with her heart!
I've been so reminded lately about how quickly this time is going by. I just can't believe that Madison is 4. It feels like yesterday that she came screaming into this world and landed safely in my arms, and changed my life forever. She made me what I always wanted to be, a mom. I'm striving to make memories with them that they can look back and know how much they were loved and remember all of the good.

I always hoped that when I had kids, they could be friends. Not just put up with eachother, because they are brother and sister. But really like eachother and be best friends. I am so thrilled to see that in them lately. They can go their seperate ways and do things without eachother, but they always know what the other one is doing. When the other is not around, they want to know why. They are protective of eachother too. I hope they can grow up that way.

Justus gave them a bag of stuffed animals. Of course they were excited. I don't know what it is about stuffed animals, but they love them.
