Her little smile. She just explodes with joy and lets out that smile. She is bursting so much that she wants to let it out, and the only thing she can manage to get out is that cute tongue.
Studying the world as if to say, Just wait, you just wait. And I'll show you what I can do. What I can be.
He really can't get enough of her sweetness. I'll peak around the corner, and there he is, laying on the floor with his arm gently around her and staring into her eyes. If he doesn't feel like she is quite close enough, then he will pull her a little closer.
The plan was to take a day trip to the beach today. I am desperately wanting to feel the warm sand on our toes, play with our sand buckets and shovels, let the waves crash on our feet, and walk on the board walk. But it just didn't work out today. Instead, we went to the zoo. Since Madison has been talking about the zoo almost every night lately, it seemed like a great idea.
Can't you just hear them, whawhawhawhawha

He was channelling his inner Mr. Ed.
If you want to see a happy kid, give them a brush and let them brush a goat. It was pure bliss for them.

Even though I gave up my coveted trip to the beach, this truly was a perfect day. From the anxious 4 year old asking at every stop when we were going to be at the zoo, to the wide eyed stares and pointing fingers, and eating popcorn on a picnic table, to the tuckered out babes sleeping on the way home it was perfection. I loved today.
