things to be remembered

Between everything that happened this week, that I'm not proud of, there are many more moments that I am.  Those blunderous moments of spilling coffee in the van cup holder and not cleaning it up until it had become chocolate syrup consistency two days later, or the ever dwindling bank account that kept me up with worry a couple of nights, or the whole pot of spaghetti sauce that sat, forgotten, on the counter until the next day and had to be put down the drain.  Those will all be soon forgotten.

But those treasured moments together, they will be remembered.  My morning, with just Madison, spent baking cupcakes for Bear's birthday (in honor of letter B week, of course).

Where she got to do all of the pouring.  Because even though it's good to share, it nice to spend time with just her and enjoy her personality.

And she got to do all of the licking.  But then I said a little prayer afterward when I remembered that whole salmonella, egg thing going around right now.

And she waited so patiently for them to be done.  Keeping me updated on how they were doing too.

Enjoying meals together.

Austin bringing Madison a ring back from his outing to Chuck E. Cheese with a friend.

And that blue sky.........

Getting out of the house can be a challenge.  It's always an accomplishment to get out anyway.  To enjoy the outside and a change in scenery.

Where were the playgrounds like this when I was a kid?

Looking up at the sun peeking through the summer trees.......

.......and kissing shoulders.......

.........and foreheads.......

.........and sweet baby feet......

Those are things to be remembered.
