Knoebel's

We departed from our typical amusement park and went for something a little more nostalgic over the weekend.  We rode an old fashioned carousel, ate cotton candy and popcorn, and walked on gravel pathways to ride many of the rides that I rode as a kid.  The paratrooper was still just that, along with old wooden roller coasters that creak as you slowly lift up the hill.  When you feel the track swaying back and forth, you know you are in for a ride.

Notice Austin on the way into the Haunted House, smiling, compared to Austin on the way out of the Haunted House, snuggled up in my lap.  But he still said that he liked it.

In case you missed Madison's face on the way out of the Haunted House, here's an instant replay:

It's safe to say that she did NOT like it.

She'll settle for the some popcorn and.......................
................................the biggest, fastest rides in the park.

To our surprise, Madison was tall enough for the two wooden roller coasters.  She screamed and held her hands up, carefree and loving every minute.  And while she was doing that, I was holding on to her tight.  I can't believe my little girl is big enough for these rides, or that she will be 5 in just a couple of days.  She was proud.  Proud to be big enough for the "big rides" and proud to be sitting beside her big brother and her daddy.  But I'm still going to hold on for a while longer.
