Field Trip to the Fair

Kamdyn likes pictures of animals and looking at animals, but when it comes to being up close and personal with them, she's not a big fan.  She did cautiously pet the horse.

This horse cracked me up.  It had bug eyes like that guinea pig from the movie "Bedtime Stories". Wasn't it's name Bugsy?:

I've had some past experience with goats.  When I was a kid, we moved to my grandparent's farm for a little bit.  They had a cow farm, but they also had other animals.  There was this one goat, and his name was Slim Jim.  Well, Slim Jim liked to give a message to any kids who came around.  What was that message?  "Get the heck away from me!"  He was not a happy goat.

This was a friendly and happy goat:

He nuzzled up against the kids:

And he helped himself to Kamdyn's drink:
This picture was about 1 second before Kamdyn screamed, "NAAAAAA!" That, of course, means, "Excuse Mr. Goat, please don't taste test my juice."

This guy didn't bother to get up:

I'm also happy to report that I didn't sign up for any "free cruises" at the fair this year, like I did last year.  We also didn't get splattered by any urinating cows this year.  So, all in all, I'd say it was a success.

  1. Goodness your kids are just adorable. Looks like you had a good time! Any place where animals are congregated is sure to just send me into a sneezing fit.
