Continuing our things not to say to new parents of a baby with Down syndrome.....................

Don't say:
"I'm sorry."
When we learned that Kamdyn has Down syndrome, I dreaded people's pity. I dreaded them pitying me or my child. Don't be sorry. Be encouraging. So instead, say "Congratulations!"

Great series! I agree, saying you're sorry is the worst thing you can say. It made me want to cry every time anyone said it to me after Russell was born :(
