Lessons from a 4 year old

Just a couple little life lessons that come right from the mouth of a 4 year old.

1. "Shy means you hide behind your mother." I think there are times when we still all wish we could hide behind our mother. When your little, your mom can pretty much fix any problem and make everything better. As you get older, you have to face them yourself and sometimes there is no solution or easy fix.  Its just plain old pushing through and persevering to come out on the other side.

2. While praying, "Thank you for Mommy and Daddy that they can be married. And that Daddy gave Mommy a ring cuz that's so nice." Not all families have a mom and a dad that are together and love each other. I thank God that we are able to give that to our kids. Brad is a wonderful father, and my kids are blessed to have such a wonderful father.

I am so proud of Madison. She really has been such a big helper and a great big sister. When Kamdyn cries, she is quick to remind to pick her up or feed her. I am loving this new 4 year old stage where the fits become less often but the sweet conversations and kind moments become more often. She was quick to remind me today that she is a big girl now. She said, "Mommy I can cross the street by myself, because I'm big. I don't need a hand." We came to the conclusion that she is a big little girl.
