Support Kamdyn for the Buddy Walk here. On Saturday, we are walking in our first Buddy Walk with our local Down syndrome association. We are excited to be a part of this group. I think it will be a valuable resource for Kamdn as she grows. Plus it will offer support, encouragement, and advice for us.
I get a little nervous about these types of things. Meeting new people, wondering if you will become friends with anyone, or if people will accept you. It's out of my comfort zone, for sure. Not only that, but seeing others with Down syndrome, who will have such a wide variety of abilities can be scary too. I don't know where Kamdyn will fall on the spectrum of abilities. Where ever she does happen to be, she is going to do amazing things. We are so proud of her. Our pride, love, and joy will continue to grow with her. She has already shown us how strong and amazing she is by beating odds and overcoming every obstacle that has been before her up to this point. Girl is a fighter, and we love being along for the ride.
